8 week Intro to Yoga Class Series meets
Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. Begins March 11

February 4th, 2010 March 11 to April 29
During this 8 week series we will go through basic yoga postures in depth for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh proper alignment, etc.. Each week we will build upon the previous lessons. You will be provided with specific information about the benefits on a physical and emotional level. This series will give you an excellent foundational knowledge of the system of yoga and will be lots of fun!! Cost is $75.00 for the 8 weeks. Need a minimum of 5 participants to go ahead with class and a maximum of 12.
Week 1 – Standing yoga postures such as Warrior I, Warrior II and Triangle.
Week 2 – Balancing postures such as Tree, Warrior III and Eagle Pose.
Week 3 – Back bends like bridge, cobra, upward facing dog.
Week 4 – Twisting postures
Week 5 – Supine postures -(lying down) and core
Week 6 – Hip openers, pigeon, cobbler’s pose, etc
Week 7 – Basic Sun Salutations
Week 8- Integrating the practice and more Sun Salutations
$75.00 pre-pay for class series. Maximum of 12 students.
